Individual Therapy Sessions
Individual therapy sessions with client confidentiality
Individual therapy sessions consist of confidential consultations with a professional occupational psychologist, providing you with a safe space to discuss challenges, stress, or other forms of reduced wellbeing. The purpose of our individual therapy sessions is to support you – whether you are an employee or a manager – in managing pressures, preventing sickness absence, and developing new coping strategies.
Individual therapy sessions with a focus on wellbeing and workplace culture
At Human House, we consider individual therapy sessions as an effective way to address and clarify the mental and emotional challenges that may impact your work life. Our sessions are based on your needs and tailored to your specific situation, giving both you and your organisation a stronger foundation for a healthy workplace culture. We offer both prevention and direct assistance with current issues.
Why choose individual therapy sessions?
Research shows that long-term sickness absence among employees is costly for companies. These costs include ongoing salaries, reduced productivity, and additional workload on colleagues. When stress, cooperation problems, conflicts, or other issues arise, it is a good investment to initiate individual therapy sessions with a psychologist. Early intervention can prevent sickness absence and ensure that you or your employee returns quickly with renewed energy.
What issues can individual therapy sessions help you with?
Human House provides individual therapy sessions across a wide range of areas. We take a holistic approach, tailoring each programme to the needs and wishes of the individual employee or manager.
- Stress and burnout
- Crisis situations and traumatic incidents
- Reduced wellbeing and decreased job satisfaction
- Violence and threats
- Bullying
- Sexism and offensive behaviour
- Redundancies
- Traumatic events
- Organisational changes and restructuring
- Collaboration problems and conflicts
- Personal issues negatively affecting work

How do individual therapy sessions work?
All therapy sessions at Human House are strictly confidential and provided by occupational psychologists bound by professional secrecy, in compliance with the ethical guidelines of the Danish Psychological Association.
A typical therapy programme includes:
- Initial dialogue with the immediate manager to set expectations and goals
- Up to five sessions between the employee and the psychologist, with the first session focusing on clarifying challenges
- A focus on developing new coping strategies and patterns of action in the subsequent sessions
If needed, the programme can be extended with additional sessions or supplemented with three-way meetings or workplace consultations – where psychologist, manager, and employee work together to improve wellbeing at the workplace.
Gain insight into themes and challenges with a Human House subscription – and strengthen the basis for enhanced wellbeing
With a Human House subscription, you can receive an annual overview of recurring themes and challenges identified through completed therapy sessions – always without breaching confidentiality. In accordance with psychological practice, the psychologist maintains confidentiality, but with the employee’s consent, general feedback on the working environment or organisational issues can be provided. This gives your workplace valuable insight into areas that may need further attention.
