Collaboration and Team Development
Unite differences with a shared language
Collaboration and team development is about strengthening teamwork by turning differences into a valuable resource rather than a challenge. As the world grows increasingly complex, recognising and appreciating each other’s individual preferences and working styles is more important than ever.
However, when under pressure, your ability to embrace differences tends to diminish. If you and your team lack a shared language and understanding of your differences, everyone may end up working in their own way – potentially leading to conflict and ineffective problem-solving.
Activate your team’s diversity with a shared language
To build effective teamwork, it is crucial to establish a common language and an understanding of diverse working styles and preferences. At Human House, we use the renowned personality tool MBTI – Myers-Briggs Type Indicator – to provide insights into individual strengths and differences.
MBTI helps you and your team members understand how you make decisions and perceive the world. This makes personality differences and varying approaches visible, and encourages you to accept them as a resource rather than a challenge. MBTI enables you to address current issues, create open dialogue about disagreements, and prevent misunderstandings. At the same time, you and your colleagues learn to view situations from each other’s perspectives. The result is professional and personal growth for both you and your team – giving you a stronger foundation for collaboration now and in the future.

A typical team collaboration and development journey
1. Kick-off
At the kick-off meeting, we discuss your expectations for the process and what is required for success. We explore who you are as a company and as a team, and identify any special considerations.
2. Feedback
The team gathers for at least half a day – preferably a full day – to receive feedback on individual profiles as well as group feedback. We then work on building collaboration between the different types through engaging exercises and practical questions.
3. Perspectives
Depending on your aims, tasks and the level of complexity, we meet a further one to five times. In these sessions, we address other relevant topics, such as psychological safety, change management, feedback, decision-making, problem-solving, working under pressure, communication or self-leadership.
We see the world through our own type.

A programme tailored to your team
Developing a shared language rarely happens on its own – it requires a purposeful effort. At Human House, we have many years of experience in team development, allowing us to help your organisation compose and build effective teams characterised by targeted, results-oriented, and trust-based collaboration.
With a team development programme, you always receive a process tailored to your specific team, closely aligned with your organisation’s objectives, strategies and values. We apply the latest research and knowledge on team performance, combined with a thorough analysis of your team’s preferences, strengths and development areas, as well as an assessment of your team’s culture around performance and collaboration.
