When should I take the Occupational Safety and Health Training Course?
The mandatory OSH Training Course is required for all work representatives (AMR) and management representatives (AL) in any occupational safety and health organisation (AMO). The purpose of the course is to strengthen preventive occupational safety and health efforts and to streamline the functioning of the occupational safety and health organisation.
If you are a new member of the occupational safety and health organisation at your workplace, you must, according to The Occupational Health and Safety Law, complete the course within three months of being elected or appointed to the occupational safety and health organisation.
Once you have completed the OSH Training Course once, there is no requirement to do it again. You can, therefore, use the course if you resign from the occupational safety and health organisation and rejoin later. However, the course is mandatory if you have completed the old Section 9 course from before April 1991.
What do I gain from participating in the course?
On the Online OSH Training Course, you will be equipped to navigate within the legal framework of occupational safety and health, ensuring that you understand precisely what you should, ought to, and can do in a given occupational safety and health-related situation in your organisation. It prepares you, among other things, for a potential visit from the Danish Working Environment Authority, which is also introduced during the training course.
You will learn why collaboration throughout the organisation is crucial to prevent significant physical and mental occupational health challenges, and the importance of occupational safety and health policies, culture, and behaviour in succeeding in improving local occupational safety and health.
With the mandatory OSH Training Course, you will also understand the importance of conducting the mandatory workplace assessment (APV). You will gain knowledge about how the APV, in conjunction with safety inspections, risk assessments, and a focus on training, instruction, and supervision, can create a better work environment that complies with the law. Most importantly, it establishes a solid foundation for the physical and psychological occupational health in your workplace.

Structure of the course
Get practical tools for your workplace environment work
The Online OSH Course is structured as group sessions via Teams where you follow the same group throughout the entire course, allowing for networking, collaboration, and follow-up between sessions.
There will be 1 hour of homework/self-study associated with each module.
Week 1: 1 hour introduction
In the first module, you will be introduced to the structure of the course and technical tools. The introduction allows you to test your equipment (computer, speakers, microphone, and webcam) to ensure everything works seamlessly when the actual instruction begins. Here, an activity plan outlining the content of the course will also be created.
Week 2: 1 day
Through a thorough introduction to the occupational safety and health organisation and occupational safety and health legislation, you will get to know your role and responsibilities, and we will provide you with specific tools to address everyday challenges.
Week 3: 1 day
We continue the in-depth introduction to the OSH organisation and legislation. We delve into your role and responsibilities, providing you with additional concrete tools for your work in the occupational safety and health organisation.
Week 4 + 5: Homework assignment
Weeks 4 and 5 are dedicated to completing a written homework assignment relevant to the occupational safety and health in your specific organisation. We will collectively address and discuss the written homework assignment in week 6 of the course.
Week 6: 1 day
We delve into the psychological working environment, and you will become acquainted with safety culture and workplace injuries. Additionally, we take a look at your homework assignment and recap the entire course.
Practical information on the course
The training course spans 4 days, equivalent to 22 hours excluding breaks – see course dates here. The price is DKK 4,300 excluding VAT. Invoicing before course start.
All participants are required to have access to a computer equipped with a microphone, webcam, and a stable internet connection, as well as a quiet environment free from significant disturbances. Upon successful completion of the course, all participants will receive a course certificate.

CANCELLATION
In case of cancellation or transfer to another session within 2-4 weeks before the start of the course, a fee of 50 percent of the course cost will be charged. For cancellations or transfers within 2 weeks before the start of the course or in case of non-attendance, regardless of the reason, the full price of the originally registered course will be invoiced and must be paid. Upon simultaneous registration for a new course, a 25% discount on the new course is granted. You have the option to transfer your spot to another participant from your organisation if you are unable to attend, if you inform us no later than the day before the course starts.
Always remember to obtain written confirmation of your cancellation.
Upon completion of the course, you will receive a course certificate used as documentation to authorities for the completion of the course. It is therefore a requirement that you are present during all hours of teaching.
When registering for the course, you simultaneously give permission for your entered personal information to be securely stored for the purpose of being able to reissue a potentially lost course certificate for a fee. You can always contact us to have your information deleted.
Completion of the course depends on the number of participants, and we reserve the right to cancel and reschedule dates.
INVOICING
An invoice will be sent approximately two weeks before the start of the course, with a 14-day payment deadline. If you have an HH Subscription, the discount will be deducted from the invoice sent.
OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES
According to the Danish Working Environment Authoritys requirements for mandatory OSH Courses, you must begin and end the course in the same group unless coercive circumstances prevent your participation. It may exceptionally be possible to move the third day to another group for a fee of 1,200 DKK in case of coercive circumstances. Moving the first and second day is not possible and requires the purchase of a new course.
Furthermore, you are required to have access to a computer with a webcam, microphone, and a stable internet connection. Additionally, for teaching and group work purposes, you must have access to a quiet room without loud disturbances.
