Vision Zero Workshop on Proactive Leading Indicators

Traditionally, organisations have evaluated and measured the quality of their efforts within safety, health, and wellbeing by focusing on statistics related to workplace accidents and work-related illnesses – the so-called lagging indicators.

In recent years, however, many organisations have realised that this approach is not sufficient. The focus is therefore increasingly shifting towards indicators that do not only look back, but also consider the current situation – or even look ahead.

Proactive leading indicators act as a valuable supplement to reactive measurement and lagging indicators, as they measure the quality of your organisation’s overall safety, health, and wellbeing initiatives rather than relying solely on accident statistics.

What you will learn at the proactive leading indicators workshop

Workshop content

This workshop introduces Vision Zero and proactive leading indicators and explores how to create a highly preventive workplace.

“What gets measured, gets done” – proactive leading indicators ensure that organisations initiate and maintain the most important activities within safety, health, and wellbeing, so these become implemented and integrated into day-to-day business processes.

Proactive leading indicators can be used for various purposes. Internally, they can help improve safety, health, and wellbeing. Externally, they can be applied to areas such as the supply chain or for benchmarking purposes. Proactive leading indicators are also relevant at every level of the organisation.

The workshop can be held in-person or online.
