Leadership Sparring
Personal leadership – growth through reflection and dialogue
Being a leader today demands a sharp awareness of your own strengths and areas for development. Leadership sparring is for those who wish to focus on their growth as leaders and who want to achieve even better results for both their employees and organisation – without compromising their own wellbeing or energy levels.
We believe that strong leaders know themselves and are willing to reflect on their practices. With the right sparring partner by your side, it becomes easier to take care of yourself while also meeting the many demands that come with the role of being a leader.
A tailored and flexible sparring process
A leadership sparring programme at Human House is always based on you and your current leadership situation. We start every process with a thorough expectations alignment, where we together uncover your needs, challenges, and aspirations for your leadership development. You might be facing new tasks, a major organisational change, want to prevent stress – or simply aim to become the best possible version of yourself as a leader.
We ensure you have a safe and confidential learning space where you can address everything from concrete challenges to broader reflections. The process is continuously adjusted, so you gain the most value from both your conversations and any assessment tools we may incorporate to give you deeper insights into your personal profile, strengths and development areas.
What topics can you get sparring on?
Balance in the role as a leader
Developing your personal leadership
Your own relational challenges
Managerial handling of relational challenges between employees
Developing team performance
The difficult conversation
Everyday challenges
Clear communication and impact
Developing your personal leadership
In a sparring process, we focus on both your professional role and your personal development. We work on clarifying your role, values, and leadership style – and how you can best leverage your competencies for yourself, your employees and your organisation. You will receive support in expressing your own strengths, managing paradoxes in the leadership role and navigating dilemmas that require both clarity and empathy.
Often, we will explore questions such as: How do you set boundaries and prioritise your time? How do you balance achieving results with employee wellbeing? How do you handle difficult conversations or relational challenges – and how do you take care of yourself in a busy everyday life?
Practical tools for everyday leadership
With us, leadership sparring is not just about reflection and dialogue – it is also about providing you with practical tools you can use directly in your leadership. We combine psychological theory with hands-on exercises so you experience tangible effects in your daily work life. It might be about communication and impact, strengthening team performance, or practising your ability to manage changes and crises in a way that creates calm and direction.
We support you in initiating new actions, testing new approaches, and evaluating their effect, so you continuously move forward in your leadership development.
Sparring for your leadership team
Leadership sparring does not have to be an individual process. We also offer sparring and development programmes for entire management groups and leadership teams. Here, we work purposefully to strengthen relationships, collaboration, shared direction, and business results.
Through facilitated processes, dialogues, and exercises, your leadership group articulates both potential and challenges, and together you develop tools and practices that drive your collective performance. This not only creates results in the short term, but also lays the foundation for evolving your organisation’s culture in the long term.
